I should be giving this place 5 stars. The staff that work there are out of this world amazing; however, my complaint is with the management/owner. I submitted a complaint a while back ago regarding the ne breed of evil crickets they are purchasing and selling to customers. I told them that my gecko is terrified of the striped ones that they are now selling and is not eating. The person that responded to me gave me a fake apology and offered responses like different cricket breeds and blah, blah, blah and that they were basically concerned about harm done to pets. Well, obviously not. I had to switch to PetsMart for crickets because they obviously do not care and keep getting these monster crickets. I forgot to stop at PetSmart on my way home today and instead stopped here and broke down an bought 12 of the crickets that they are selling here. I have now actively seen my gecko come out of his cave 3 times to try to eat and then run back inside to avoid these things. When I was talking to the person at the store about these crickets, I was told that they had received the same feedback multiple times from many customers. So, thank you managers/owners for your false apology and for aw

I always have such a great experience at this store, and I really want to give a special shout-out to the store manager Chris! He has helped me multiple times over the years and he is consistently so friendly, patient, and knowledgeable! You can tell he genuinely knows his stuff and cares about the animals and products in the store! He takes pride in his store and it shows! Every time I’ve needed advice he’s taken the time to explain things clearly and make sure I’m getting exactly what I need! He’s been with the store for years, and it really shows in the way he handles customer questions and keeps everything running smoothly! It’s rare to find someone who remembers customers and takes pride in their job, but Chris absolutely does! I’ll continue coming back because of the great service he provides and how well he treats his customers and staff! Couldn’t recommend this store enough!

Went to the dog park in Sparks. My North American Shelter Mutt found the most fantastic mud puddle and had a ball! Needless to say, my reddish-brownish mutt was a muddy mess. Needed a self serve dog wash ASAP! Went here and was able to give my moose a quick bath. The store was clean and the lady working that day was super friendly. Side note- the wash station is pretty amazing with all its automatic features. It's truly like a car wash, but for dogs.
